Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving...

Nearing our designated day for giving thanks for the bounty of this land and the "harvests" in our lives, I want you to consider who you are thanking.

We begin November with "I am thankful for..." and by day 10, it gets harder to come up with things.  That time of reflection spent on figuring it out, if you would call it that, would be much easier, if we considered who we are thanking.

Who are you giving thanks to?  The holiday from the time of the Pilgrims and the Indians giving thanks for the harvest, was to thank God.  President Lincoln proclaimed a holiday of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our Beneficent Father, who dwelleth in heaven."  If we just thank God everyday, and praise Him, then He will bless us.

Without God's provision and plan that he has already laid out for us, what exactly, would we have to be thankful for?

God wants us to be successful, healthy, obedient, loving,  joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good faithful, gentle, self-controlled, modest and chaste, just to mention a few positive characteristics and he even gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to be able to attain those attributes. He gave us a whole book to live by, so all we have to do is grab hold of what he's teaching us, as we learn to "walk" with Him.

So, as you're thinking about tomorrow's recipient of gratitude, consider that God  has given you all things.  We should be thanking Him always.

That said, thanking everyone else is wonderful, too.  Thank you for reading!
Just remember that God gave it all.

Psalm 100:4 (NASB)
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name."

Wishing you and yours a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

You are a Woman of God's Heart

Being a daughter of the King means that you are special, set apart and loved beyond measure.  He loves you so much and knows you so well.  He watches you coming and going, is with you always, knows the number of hairs on your head, gave His life for you, intercedes for you and is preparing a special place for you in heaven.

You are created in the image of the Almighty God, from life in the most beautiful garden,  and are His precious, forgiven, life-giving child.

You are a Woman of God's Heart!

May God bless you, comfort you, heal you, and always show you just how special and beautiful you are!

"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God."  Romans 8:16

2nd Update: So It's Been a While!.........A Story of Depression & Healing

As you may have noticed, I haven’t posted anything for several months.  I think you deserve to know why.  Mostly because my testimony may help someone else out there that is going through depression.

I want them to know that there is hope.  It takes inner strength, but mostly it takes knowing Jesus and knowing that God speaks through his children as well as other ways.  He loves you and He can heal anything.  He’s big enough to listen to you screaming at him and you blaming him without His love ever faltering.  He knows what you are going through and He knows that it is a fallen world and it breaks His heart that you have to go through things.  He doesn’t put you through it, but He will get you through it.  All you have to do is ask.  Satan had me in such a stranglehold, telling me that God could have prevented my pain, so that I couldn’t ask.  Don’t believe that lie.  God didn’t do it.

On to my story……….
